| Hello Members, It has been a busy month for aeromodelling, with our Australian Team competing at the F4 World Scale Championships in the UK. Congratulations to the team on their efforts, and especially to David Law for placing second in F4C. Congratulations also to Melissa Law for being awarded the Brian Taylor Award for the best performing female at the 2026 World Champs. The annual Festival of Aeromodelling in Inglewood was a great success, and I encourage everyone to attend at least once. Finances I would like to remind clubs that the VMAA has transitioned our banking from Westpac to the Bendigo Bank. Future transactions need to be paid to the Bendigo Bank. If you require any assistance, please reach out to the Secretary, Treasurer, or Registrar. MAAA Marketing Proposal Mark Penno, ANSW President, presented a marketing plan to the MAAA Council focusing mainly on member retention. While most states supported the proposal, we had some reservations about the $100,000 cost. Before deciding whether to support it, I want our clubs to have their say. An email has been sent to Club Presidents and Secretaries requesting expressions of interest in attending. At this point, only 11 clubs have responded. The presentation will be on 03 August 2026 at 7:30 pm. Please register your interest with the VMAA Secretary so that the details can be shared. Registrar A friendly reminder to Registrars and Secretaries to keep their Club Executive details up to date in the Register. We have recently had emails returned as undeliverable because email addresses were not current. This is a good time to ask club members to check that their personal details are correct in the Register. Member cards will be emailed, so incorrect email addresses may prevent members from receiving them. Members can access their own Register profile by creating a login, then update their details or download their membership card if it has not arrived by email. If your club needs help updating club information or has any other Register-related questions, please contact me. I will be more than happy to assist.
