VMAA Sports Grant

Use this VMAA Sports Grant form to make an application to support your next sporting event.

The Victorian Model Aeronautical Association (VMAA) is offering clubs up to $500 to host sporting events aimed at promoting the sport of aeromodelling ,encouraging new memberships and thus improving the clubs position and in turn invest in it’s own club facilities.
We especially encourage clubs that have not previously run an event to seize this opportunity.

We will be providing substantial funding for new annual sports events that are open to the public, with a focus on allocating funding resources at the higher end of the funding scale. To manage expectations appropriately the majority of grants approved will be the amount of $250.
This way VMAA can assist as many clubs as possible.

The VMAA provides this Sports grant to primarily cover the costs of trophies, and then Facebook marketing. Any residual funds can be used towards the Club Facility’s or to assist with the promotion of the event like prizes, advertising, or catering. 
In addition, the VMAA is available to offer guidance and assistance to help you organise a successful event.

In return for our sponsorship, we request the following:

  1. The VMAA logo be displayed on your flyers and all advertising materials.
  2. A post-event report, including photographs to publish on our Facebook page.  This report must include a short summary of the event, including, the number of trophies the participants were competing for, trophy and prize winners, pilot entry numbers, and approximate event attendance by the public.
  3. Copies of receipts (Trophies, Facebook marketing, then others) totaling your grant funding amount will need to be supplied to the VMAA for processing and the release of the grant funds.

Please note: Your application must be in 21 days prior to the next committee meeting that is held before your event so the application is available to be discussed at a committee level before the event..
