President & Committee- Update February 2026
Hello Members,
What a turbulent start to the year, with wild weather across the nation. I hope you have found some decent weather windows to get in a fly or two. The committee had a well-earned break, but is back in full swing after our first committee meeting in February.
I want to focus on increasing membership and improving clubs this year. We will use marketing strategies to increase membership and retain current members. All members need to help their clubs by being open and welcoming to prospective new members. The MAAA CAS below is a great way to get funds to improve club facilities.
MAAA Club Assistance Scheme (CAS)
Now is the time to finalise your quotes, as the MAAA CAS will open by the end of the month. Consider what your club needs to improve, such as facilities, grounds, and machinery. The MAAA offers CAS grants up to $7,700 (incl GST). Successful applicants are decided at the MAAA Conference in May each year. The VMAA also contributes funds to successful applicants. Registrar’s Message
Half-yearly Membership Registrations are open. Please note that half-year memberships are available only to returning members who were not members in the previous financial year (2024-25) and to New Members. New Junior members are still free to register.
