About the VMAA

The Victorian Model Aeronautical Association (VMAA) is the heart of model aviation in Victoria. We support pilots of all ages and skill levels, from first-time juniors to seasoned enthusiasts, helping them enjoy the thrill of flying safely and responsibly.

As the peak body for model aviation in the state, the VMAA works closely with clubs and members to provide:

  • Support for Local Clubs – resources, guidance, and training to help clubs thrive.

  • Events & Competitions – from fun fly days to large-scale rallies, there’s always something to get involved in.

  • Safety & Compliance – ensuring all members enjoy the sport in a safe, regulated environment.

  • Membership Benefits – including insurance coverage, access to exclusive events, and programs like the Juniors Membership Program, which helps young enthusiasts get started with their first year free.

About the MAAA

The MAAA is the largest aeromodelling organisation in Australia and encourages and supports Australians to enjoy aeromodelling in a safe and fun environment. 
By providing a management structure, technical expertise and club management support, it makes it easier for clubs to grow and manage their sport.
